I've thought about it for a while, and I decided to definitely do it. I'm leaving AZ at the end of the year to go to NY so I can spend some time with my grandparents. The next step would be to talk to Avi. I had just thought of something, I was planning on bringing my laptop and books and all that stuff. Do you have trunks with locks at the barracks? Or do you keep it at your apt? I'm not sure I'll get an apt, I hear you don't really get any time off, and the time you do get off is a day or so. Thx in advance.

It is 100% subjective on where you serve whether you will get a locker. I just finished miluim in a "keva" or permanent base, and there the soldiers all had lockers. A temporary base simply might not have lockers, I have seen both with and without. Also a surprising number had laptops. So you would certainly not be an exception.

As to not needing a place to live, you don't get much time off this is 100% NOT TRUE. A very common schedule is Sunday to the following Thursday of Friday and then the weekend off. Then you have an extended leave every quarter, "afterim" (24 hour passes) and so on. You defilitely need a place to live.
