I take certain medication, I am speaking to friends and I was told that they (tsav rishon) take a urine sample. On the other hand I was told it was for diabetes. What can I think about this? Thank you

What a wonderfully worded post!

Yes, the IDF tests for drugs. And treats those who flunk the test accordingly.

If your question has anything on earth to do with the proper administration of prescription drugs, as prescribed by a certified medical professional, and how the IDF accomodates this, please feel free to pursue this line of questioning.

The curt wording of my response should make clear how the IDF feels about anything else, including the concealment of medical conditions that should be reported.

I believe the urine test is a drug test.

Simon,

The only reason someone would worry about a urine test is if they are worried about what the test will reveal.

There are only two things that the test could possibly reveal: Drug use for recreational purposes, or drug use for unreported physcal ailments.

Either way the IDF will want nothing to do with you.
Since your family physician from your native country must administer a physical and certify you are fit for duty, this should not be an issue.
